I'm sure y'all noticed that I happened to have been on an unannounced vacation since just before Mardi Gras. I was in New Orleans. It was great, no students and plenty of women 'of age', if you know what I mean. All in all, I wasn't enthusiastic at all about returning home, but it had to be done.

Anything I should know of since I was around last?

Oh, and John? You're grounded indefinitely. No threats on another student's life where I can read it, si ce n'est pas un problème. Get back to your dorm. I have no patience for this idiocy I'm hearing about.

Maybe she wasn't lying...maybe things have changed that much...I don't believe they broke in here. I can't believe she broke in here. I need to speak with her face to face again. I need to clear the air and I need to do a better job of it than I did last time. I need her to be here. And I also need to wake up and realize that she never will be.

It is so hard to believe how much things change. It just means they can change back, though.

On the other hand...tomorrow week is Mardi Gras. I hope Jean'll cook us all lots of pancakes. Pity that there's eggs and milk and lots of those nice dairy products in them, though, right John?

So far, no one's brought on the wrath of Gambit. Not in class, but I've got trouble elsewhere so I'll be damned if I don't end up killing someone by Christmas.

[Viewable to Teachers/Staff ONLY]

Right, say one wanted to speak with a member of the Brotherhood...and say that member appeared slightly insane and violent these days, and dangerous to boot...but one was pretty sure <strike>she</strike> they wouldn't hurt that person because <strike>I</strike> they knew the member of the Brotherhood before and knew they were really a sweet, innocent person? And they wouldn't hurt <strike>me</strike> them anyway because...well, because of the relationship they had before.

Anyway, what I'm trying to say is, would it be frowned upon and/or dangerous to speak with the dangerous Brotherhood mutant without telling anyone where or when they were going?

[/Viewable to Teachers/Staff ONLY]

Well anyway, I don't mind teaching so much anymore. That doesn't mean I've softened up any, though, it just means that I'm used to the job. God knows that in my short years I've had more jobs than I care to mention, this is by far the most interesting.

Oh, and to all of my freshmen french class. I might have to miss a class next monday. If that's the case, if you have a sub, be nice or I'll hear about it and study the recent vocab that you should have taken down in some form of a copy. You never know, you might be getting a 'surprise' test one of these days.

Due to, ahem, reasons beyond my control, I must begin teaching next week. Merde.

I will be teaching English, French and Business Studies and, mon dieu, you better pray to the man upstairs if I catch you making trouble in my class, because I'll have no mercy. So for those of you thinking I'm a soft touch, there you are.

Honestly, you come home for a little visit and get landed with a teaching job...
